I've been travelling alone since I was 19 and this hotel made me feel at home. They serve fresh and delicious breakfast everyday (not your typical European so-called breakfast, they serve a real one) and make sure you're really full! They have the kindest and most helpful staff I've ever met, literally cannot thank them enough... They serve you hot drinks in the lobby, the hotel is historical and well-decorated. As a solo female traveler, I can assure you it's a very safe hotel! Mr. Tolga makes sure you make the best of your stay. Air conditioner and heaters work perfectly. Towels, robes, slippers, shampoo etc, they provide everything you'll need. Sauna, hammam and jacuzzi are clean and hot. The room welcomes you with mini cookies, sherbet and water. Housekeeping seals the toilet with a sticker after each check-out to show it's been cleaned for you. Lastly, the location! No hotel in the country can beat this one's location, it couldn't be any better! In a few minutes, you can reach to a supermarket, Bascarsija, Latin Bridge, City Hall etc, the best restaurants etc... Don't even consider booking any other places. Interior is like a living Ottoman era... I thank each and every person who works here. They built an amazing team!

This small hotel certainly ranks among the most beautiful we have stayed in. It has been wonderfully restored, with a functioning hamam. The decoration is tasteful and fitting. The room was large, with good lighting, a desk, chairs and good storage space. The bathroom was good, with a large and pleasant shower. The breakfast room and the breakfast were excellent, and served at the table which was a nice change. The staff were uniformly really kind and welcoming and helpful if we needed anything. The hotel is a minute or so from the Latin Bridge, and a few minutes from the Old Town of Sarajevo with its mosques and shops and restaurants. It was very easy to get to by bus from the airport (you can get off at the Latin Bridge), and we were able to arrange a ride back to the airport with the help of the hotel, which was reasonably good value. All in all, this was a great hotel and can be highly recommended.

Everything! #1) the employees are the BEST! Lots of good conversations about the people in the region all day and night, what to do and see, where to eat, etc. The cleaning ladies, breakfast lady, front desk people, and Hamam workers were all wonderful, friendly, and helpful beyond reasonable expectation. They should all get raises! :-) #2) the location is phenomenal! It’s the closest hotel to the Latin Bridge and it’s right across a small walking bridge from the old market, which is a great place to stroll and eat and window shop and learn of the place’s history. #3) the decor of the hotel makes you feel like you are where you are. It’s like a history lesson and mood enhancer and something that is just wonderfully interesting when you take the time to look and take it all in. #4) the most unique feature is the hamam, or Turkish bath, which is nearly 600 years old!!! I have attached a photo of the bath for your pleasure. They give massages in the hamam and open the bath for separate men and women hours. #5) parking is available very conveniently right across the street from the hamam. #6) short walk to the base of the cable cars that take you up the maintain to the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympic area that features the bobsled run and other activities, as well as spectacular views of the city.

The location is great - right by the Latin Bridge and within walking distance of the old town. The hotel felt very authentic and we liked the old school feel of the room. Despite facing the street, the room was quiet at night. The reception staff were friendly and were happy to keep our bags safe as we arrived before check-in time. There were some nice touches that we appreciated throughout our stay.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They offered to hold my suitcase until I come back from a side trip and called me a taxi to the bus depot. They also arranged airport to hotel transport. Breakfast service was prompt and authentic. The Turkish-style breakfast has a lot of small sides that make it meaningful. The room is a very good size for two twin beds, bathroom warm and toasty in the winter (no cold tiles!), and plenty of space to move around in and store items. Hammam for men/women at different times, and they offer additional spa treatments at the hotel. The location can't be better - right by the Latin Bridge with quick and efficient walking access to the Old Town area. Many of the walking tours in the area start within a 5-7 min. walk of the hotel. Many restaurants and shops within reach. I rebooked it to stay in my last night in Sarajevo - so I would definitely stay again on a return trip in the future.

Most attentive and hospitable staff who assisted with our transfers and early check in. He was so friendly, genuine and helpful, a testament to Bosnian hospitality. We love the history of the hotel and the preserved building and hamam. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We love the hotel's decorations and rugs. We tried the hamam and found it a pleasant, unique experience. The Bosnian breakfast was delicious with the eggs, bread and multiple dips. The location was 5 minutes walk to the Old Town, so close to attractions and restaurants.

We stayed at the Begov Hamam Hotel and found it very unique, with traditional room design and decor in a historic Ottoman-era building. The location is special, right in Sarajevo’s old town near the oldest mosque, which makes sightseeing easy. We did not use the hamam facilities as the separate times for men and women make it less convenient if you are traveling as a family or couple. Breakfast was traditional and quite basic, but it fit the atmosphere. Overall, we liked it as something different during our Balkans trip, but if the historic decor is not important to you and spa use is not a priority, it may not be worth it since you mainly pay for the authentic setting.

The breakfast was unbelievably good, a mix of Turkish and Bosnian specialties. Super fresh bread and made to order eggs and omelettes. When we arrived, the table was laid out with little bowls of all kinds of good stuff like tahini, olive oil, feta and fresh fruit. We tried everything and were free to ask for more of whatever we liked. The owner was there to tell us all about each dish. Not just the best breakfast of our trip, but one of the best breakfasts of my whole life! Everything else was really great as well, staff treated us exceptionally nicely.

We adored this hotel. Our experience started before we arrived, when they arranged a car to pick us up at the airport. Tolga and the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely and helped us with everything we needed. The room was clean and beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the hamam. Breakfast was a variety of little bowls of things like jam, tahini, honey, cheese, Nutella and salads, to have with bread and the eggs made to order. Simple and tasty. The location is ideal - right by the old market and walkable to all the historic sights. We really loved it here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly, well-located hotel at a very reasonable cost.
